How Can I Help?

While we're on the topic...

On the eve of the GOP's first debate in the ruby-red South, Whit Ayres has a new poll out today for the conservative Ethics and Public Policy Center and the Judicial Confirmation Network on the issue of abortion.

The results still show support for Roe -- even in red states -- but the pro-lifers who commissioned the survey were heartened by the change in numbers when the landmark court decision was detailed. In pollster jargon, this would be the "informed ballot."

When told that the procedure was allowed under various scenarios other than life/health of the mother, rape/incest or serious birth defects, red state voters swung against Roe.

The poll comes on the same day that one of the top pro-choice advocacy groups in the country -- NARAL Pro-Choice America -- created a new website detailing all the candidates' positions on the issue.

And the battle goes on.
