STATEMENT FROM WENDY LONG, REACTING TO SUPREME COURT DECISION IN RACIAL PREFERENCES CASE

"A Victory For Judicial Restraint"

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The following is a statement from Wendy Long, chief counsel to the Judicial Confirmation Network, reacting to the Supreme Court's decision today in the racial preferences case.

"Today's decision is a victory for judicial restraint. The Court's majority just applied the Constitution, plainly, simply, and faithfully. The Constitution is color blind and does not allow preferences and distinctions in our society based on race."

To schedule interviews with Wendy Long contact Mike Russell at (703)-683-5004, ext. 109.
