Ad Encourages Democrat Senators Stabenow and Peters to Stop Playing Partisan Games with Judicial Nominee
WASHINGTON – The Judicial Crisis Network is launching a $140,000 ad campaign in Michigan to encourage U.S. Sens. Stabenow (D-MI) and Peters (D-MI) not to block the nomination of Justice Joan Larsen, an exceptionally qualified individual, to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The ad urges Democrat U.S. Sens. Stabenow and Peters to support the nomination of Michigan Supreme Court Justice Joan Larsen for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
“Justice Joan Larsen is one of the most impressive lawyers of her generation, yet Senators Stabenow and Peters are holding up her nomination for petty political reasons,” said Judicial Crisis Network’s Chief Counsel and Policy Director Carrie Severino. “By obstructing this exceptionally qualified woman, Senators Stabenow and Peters are proving yet again that they would rather carry water for Washington special interests than represent the people of their state.”
